  • Ramadan is a special time for Muslims all over the world. During this month, Muslims fast as a way of practicing their religion.
  • Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, which is based on the moon. That's why it starts on a different date each year.
  • During fasting, Muslims don't eat or drink anything from dawn until sunset. This is important because it helps them feel closer to Allah, their God. They start their day with a big meal before sunrise called Suhoor, and they end it with a meal at sunset called Iftar, which is very important. They eat special desserts during this time too.
  • During Ramadan, Muslims also do things that bring them closer to Allah. They spend extra time praying and reading the Quran, their holy book. They also think about helping people who are less fortunate than themselves and try to avoid doing bad things. It's a time to be patient and kind to others.
  • At the end of Ramadan, there's a special festival called Eid al-Fitr, where Muslims thank Allah for helping them through Ramadan. They dress in their best clothes, go to the mosque to pray, and then spend time with their families, eating special food and giving each other presents.
